Have you ever sat in a room with a negative person and noticed that every negative thing they say eventually effects your mood too? You’re sitting there listening to their words of hatred, dislike and unhappiness and you realise it makes you feel similar negative emotions too? You just want to leave the room because they’re removing your positive energy?
Have you ever thought that you’re that kind of person? The kind of person that often speaks words of negativity and dislike, that people around you can find draining and perhaps infectious?
The Law of Attraction can work in many ways; you get what you give out. If you relentlessly have something bad to say and nothing positive, then you will attract negative people and this will not your help your mood to improve.
I am not saying that you cannot have a moan now and then, I am not saying you are wrong to have things that you like and dislike and that you are wrong to share the things you dislike. I discussing ones relentless negativity.
This is perfectly natural for many people that are unhappy, whether they’re suffering with a mood disorder or just in a current life situation which makes them unhappy.
So, something which I have practiced and honestly still need to master, is to think about what you’re saying and what it actually achieves for you as well as how it effects the other people around you. Think about what would happen if you said something positive instead of something negative. Or if you had a negative thought, think about how you can turn it around to a positive thing. A personal example would be:
Negative: I hate the rain, it ruins my mood and my day.
Positive: it’s good for the plants, we would miss it if it was gone.
Or if you accepted the negative thought but didn’t express it.
Your personal energy is everything. Try this for an hour, a day or even a week. It’s almost a social meditation.
I do not mean to bottle your emotions up. Write down all the negative things that irritate you if you want to release it for example, like someone’s voice or the traffic on the way home from work. But understand that you do not need to share a negative thought with everyone.
Spread more positive words. And a few less negative ones.
