…and neither do bad moods.
Think about your actions, think about what you are saying to others, think about your body language and aura. Is it happy? Is it welcoming? Is it friendly?
Imagine you’re walking down the street, it’s been a long day and the day isn’t over yet. Your mind is spinning with everything you need to do and you’re feeling a little overwhelmed. You’re not quite paying attention to where you are walking and you bump into someone. You look up at the person and snap saying ‘watch where you’re going!’ That person then shouts something back at you. This makes your mood worse and you may have caused them to be in a bad mood too.
A little kindness, compassion and patience with the world will have far better ripple effects in the long term than short term anger and impatience ever will.
Take a deep breath and know that whatever is troubling and unsettling you within will pass; just like clouds in the sky, just like a shower of rain and just like day turns to night.
Be kind, to yourself and everyone else.
