The darkest mind
the most beautiful thoughts.
The saddest soul,
the greatest happiness.
A fragmented being,
a flawed action,
can be the sweetest heart.
The funniest words,
the most troubled existence.
Our mental illness will contradict who we are within. It will contradict our true nature, our sense of purpose, our emotive ability and our attitude in personal relationships.
We are funny but we are in pain.
We are kind but when down we are mean.
We are sweet but when anxious we make mistakes.
Please do not define us by who we are when we have a bad day – we do not like this person either – we are not them. They are our deepest, darkest thoughts unable to hide. Our demons take over and we are not us. We become our demon. But we want to fight our demon back. We want to conquer them. If you define us by who we are on a bad day, we will too and we will be unable to heal and be us again.
