Something inspired me to write this short blog post and that is some terrible news that I saw trending on Facebook, a headline reads:
‘At Least 263 Reported Dead in Afghanistan and Pakistan After Magnitude-7.5 Quake’.
It is common that when we are suffering within we feel that we are ‘stupid’, ‘selfish’ and ‘our issues aren’t even that big’ because ‘much worse is happening to other people in the world’.
But, this is your life and if it matters to you then you need to work to make it better.
For instance, when you’re depressed the smallest thing could happen that could cause you to feel as though your world was ending.
It could be as ‘simple’ as breaking a necklace, losing a pen or misplacing a book or it could be as life changing as losing someone you love.
But… Never compare your problems to someone else’s. Never feel bad for feeling what you do. Never apologise for “making a big deal” out of something because it upsets you.
Your emotions are yours.
Do not punish yourself for that.
Focus on controlling, understanding and battling your demons.
