Welcome to 2016…
Some of you may have been working. Some of you may have been sleeping. Some of you may have been sat in front of the television watching people celebrate on TV. Some of you may have been drinking alcohol and dancing obscenely. Some of you may have been enjoying a bubbly bath. There were millions of things you could have been doing to welcome the New Year.
It does not matter what you were doing to welcome the year. All that matters is how you embrace 2016.
I personally don’t make ‘New Years Resolutions’. But I understand why people would and do. Now if you are suffering mentally or just want to acquire better well being, some realistic goals for the year can be very helpful; but notice the key word here REALISTIC.
Buy yourself a new journal. Write down the positives of everyday/week/month. Set yourself a little time each day to ask yourself how you are feeling. Do some yoga. Breathe. Go for walks. Exercise. Practice your present-day awareness. Walk away from things that make you miserable, open your arms and welcome uncertainty, change and happiness.
We all need to do a little more to be happier and healthier.
2016 is the year to.
I wish you all the best on your journey.
Happy New Year.
