I often question why people place their priorities on the strangest things; getting the mortgage, the expensive holidays to places they’ve been before, the need to live fast and create life faster, the job which tires you out, the every morning Starbucks coffee, the expensive Land Rover which you use just to get to and from work and occasionally take to the peaks on the weekend, the manicure which you’ll chip when carrying in the shopping, the £150 hair cut which you are too polite to say you dislike. And I really wonder about the people who live their lives this way and complain about getting up for work, complaining about paying the mortgage, re-insuring the car, the chipping of their nails, how horrible their hair really is and I think ‘why are you choosing to live your life this way then’?
Just because the majority may do this, doesn’t mean this is the way to a happy life.
There are many ways to fulfill your life, needs and wants and I’d rather fumble about and be lost for a little bit than live a life that’s not mine.
Do not compromise your happiness on what the majority make you feel you should do.
Notice where true happiness lies; run with it in your palms and do not let it go.
Is it really our lives we’re living?
